Corrections & Takedowns

Tell us when local information is wrong, out of date, unsafe or should be removed.

Last updated 16 September 2026
Found something wrong? Tell us. Local information changes quickly, and corrections from clubs, venues, residents and organisations help keep Ask Wakefield useful.

1. Report inaccurate information

Email hello@mediahubink.com with the page, listing or answer you believe is wrong. If possible, include the correct information and a current first-party or official source.

2. Update or remove a listing

If you represent a club, activity, business, venue or community organisation and want a listing corrected or removed, tell us:

  • the listing name;
  • your relationship to the organisation;
  • what should be changed or removed; and
  • a website, social account or other source we can use to verify the request.

We may ask for additional confirmation where a request would materially change or remove someone else's listing.

3. Safeguarding and safety concerns

If a listing raises an immediate safeguarding or safety concern, do not rely on Ask Wakefield as an emergency reporting route. Contact the appropriate emergency service, police, safeguarding authority or provider directly where urgent action is needed, and separately tell us so we can review the listing.

4. Personal information

If a page contains your personal information and you want it corrected or removed, email hello@mediahubink.com. Data-protection requests are handled in line with our Privacy Notice.

5. What happens after a report?

We will assess the information, check relevant sources and update, annotate, suspend or remove content where appropriate. We prioritise corrections that could affect safety, safeguarding, money, travel or access to public services.
